Anthony Davis, the star player of the New Orleans Pelicans was not on the court this Wednesday night and he was also not present in the some of the team’s promotional materials as well for the night.
In the past few days, according to his agent Rich Paul told media that five times All-Star player has requested a trade; Pelicans seemed to have removed him from their banner of their official Twitter page as well as their pregame hype video which was shown at Smoothie King Center.
A new version of the Pregame Hype video was shown before Pelicans;’ game against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday that contained no highlights of Davis neither did it included him in the montage of players in the video.
When asked about it from the head coach Alvin Gentry, he said that he has never even seen the video. He said to media, “I really have not ever seen the video. I am not avoiding you guys. What I mean is that I could not tell you who is on that video or who is not.”
Davis had been fined by the team for a sum of 50000 dollars on Tuesday after he publically demanded a trade. This action of his violates the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement. The trade deadline is Feb. 7.
