Muhammad Sammi of the Islamabad United got a last over Hat-trick as Islamabad United overcome the Keiron Pollard’s 51 runs off of 22 balls to gain a 12-run win over the Peshawar Zalmi in the 11th match of the PSL 4 played on Friday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
As has always been the case, Islamabad United started off slow in the season winning out only one of the three games. However, other teams are progressing fast as the tournament progresses ahead with defending champions managing to have improved performance.
The game ended as the United’s captain Muhammad Sami got the wicket of there players in a stunning hat-trick as he claimed the PSL 4’s maiden Hat-trick.
Earlier their win, all of their efforts seemed to be going down the drain when Pollard took the pitch for a thrashing.
With 92 runs required off of 39 balls for Zalmi’s win; Pollard managed to rouse the spirits of disappointed Zalmi’s fan as he scored 51 runs off of 21 balls. Once he holed out, no on including Darren Sammy and Wahab Raza were able to make up for the loss of early ten overs.
With this narrow defeat, Peshawar Zalmi has now lost two games and won two games. The same is the case for Islamabad United as both teams are now at the third and fourth place of the tournament respectively.
