Match 7 of the PSL 2019 between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars has concluded and the winners are Zalmi’s by 7 wickets and 59 balls to spare. The match took place at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday night.
Lahore Qalandars were sent in to bat first. They were never a match for the Qalandars’ who were easily surrendered by the Zalmi. Only three players from Qalandars’ side manage to score in double digit.
The poor performance of the Lahore Qalandars can be highlighted by the fact that Anton Devcich was their top scorer with 18 runs while their skipper AB de Villiers scored 14 runs and Agha Salman scored 13 runs. The entire Qalandars side bowled out at a mere 78 runs in 15.1 overs.
Hasan Ali was the Man of the Match as he took out four wickets and gave only 15 runs to the opposing team’s batsmen in his four overs bowling. Wahab Riaz was the second most wicket taker in the match with his three wickets in 3.1 overs.
When it came to the bating for Peshawar Zalmi, their side quickly lost two first wickets in chase of 79 runs target. However, after that, Umer Amin from Zalmi’s side singe handedly led the Peshawar Zalmi’s for an easy and early victory.
Amin, off his 39 balls managed to score 69 runs which included 10 boundaries and 1 six.
