Craig Richard put an end to the British Light Heavyweight rivalry on Saturday at O2 as he defeated Jake Ball in three rounds.
Richards aka Spider breached the defenses o Ball easily in the opening round with his right hand that sent Ball to the floor. Richards’ right hand, again and again, floored Ball to the floor before the fight was eventually called off at the O2 in the third round.
Richards; the South Londoner moved from super middleweight, but still, his punches were able to trouble Ball. This was Ball’s second professional defeat and he had to make a lot of effort to rebuild.
Richards gauged out his opponent with a range-finding jab and then with a straight right hand, sent Ball to the floor
The second round was also very troubling for the Dominican fighter as he wilted to the canvas once more under Richards’ spar like shots.
Ball only got a bit of relief as the bell rang for the second but with another right hand from Richards in the third round sent him to the floor. Richards continued his spiteful shots to his dazed opponent before he was rescued by the referee.
