Cristiano Ronaldo and his hunger for making goals is plain as day for everyone to see.
On Saturday night, the forward of Juventus scored his 600th goal and celebrated it with apparent joy. His desire to score the goal was much evident during the first half of the game against Inter Milan where his shot fired over the bar and he showed immense anguish and frustration.
However, instead of dwelling on this failure to score a goal, he managed to equalize the score soon after by making a goal to end the game at a draw of 1-1 in Serie A.
Massimiliano Allegri, coach of Juventus said, “Ronaldo is lethal on the field. I have him and I am happy about it. It is very important to have a player like him. After missing his chance he got very angry and then played a different game altogether.”
Ronaldo is playing a different ball game than the others as he has already clinched the record-breaking 8 Serie A title in a row. He is very likely to become the first player to win the award for being the top goalscorer as well as the Serie A title during his first season with Italy.
For Juventus, the 34 years old Ronaldo has already scored 20 league goals which are only 3 less than the league leader Fabio Quagliarella; forward of the Sampdoria.
He is also most likely to become the first player ever to have won the Top Goalscorer award in 3 of Europe’s 5 top leagues. He has already won the award in Spain 3 times and 1 time in England.
Ronaldo has a good shot at winning the award in Serie A this time as four more rounds remain.
