Russell has 30 points as Golden State Warriors beat Wolves by 113-104

For a team like the Golden State Warriors who went to the NBA finals for the 5 straights seasons and came out winning 3 of them, this win does not seem like much.

Still, considering where the Golden State Warriors are currently at the season, these consecutive winning games do seem like that they are now showing progress.

D’Angelo Russell scored 30 points while Alec Burks added in his 25 points with 8 assists as the Golden State Warriors defeated Minnesota Timberwolves for a 113-104 victory.

Russell said, “I think its good man, in the way that we have started winning the games too.  We are now growing. It is not like we just happen to be making the shots. We are only getting better with all the little things that we have found a way to lose the game with previously. Rebounding, box-outs, free throws, and all the little things.”

Draymond Green also helped the Golden State Warriors with his 9 points and 14 rebounds while Damien Lee added in his 14 points as they have won the back to back games for the first time in the season since the finals of the Western Conference last season.

Green said, “It feels amazing to be winning again.  I never thought that it would feel this amazing after two straight wins in a season for the rest of my life.”

As for the Timberwolves, they were led by Andrew Wiggins as he scored 2 points while Jordan McLaughlin added in his 19 points for the Wolves who have now lost their 11th game in a row.

Jeff Teague also scored 12 points for the Wolves.

Up next, the Minnesota Timberwolves will play the Thursday night game against the Sacramento Kings. The last game these teams played back on 12th December of 2018, ended in a 141-130 win for the Kings.

As for the Golden State Warriors, they will now host a game for the Houston Rockets this Christmas Day.
