Sir Craig Reedie; WADA president rejects calls to resign

Sir Craig Reed; President of the WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) has dismissed any intention of resigning in the wake of recent reinstatement of Russia in October.

Reedie in the WADA Keynote speech on Thursday said that he is going to see his mandate as the president of the organization to the end until it ends in November 2019.

US Government also interjected in this matter with an emergency meeting held on Wednesday in which the Key ps4aker was Callum Skinner; the Cycling Champion. He said that he feels WADA and the International Olympic Committee have let the athletes down with this action of theirs.

Skinner said, “Who and what do WADA and IOC really represent? Their number one answer should be to athletes. But what have we got? These Two bodies are suppressing the voices of athletes. They are treating our debate and engagement in this regard as misinformation instead of applauding us.”

26 years old Olympic champion said that with this action, WADA and IOC have not only failed the thousands of clean athletes but also bowed down to the fact that “Politics is over principles”.
