Felix Auger-Aliassime, the Canadian teenager was able to save a match point on his way to beat the German qualifier named Dustin Brown, who earlier defeated Alexander verve, by 7-6, 6-7 and 7-6 to make it to the semifinals of the Stuttgart Open.
The 18 years old Felix Auger-Aliassime was able to beat Brown buy hitting 30 aces as he faces his fellow countryman Milos Raonic; the last year’s tournament finalist.
Earlier the 6th seeded player of the tournament, Raonic was able to beat Hungarian player Marton Fucsovics by 6-4 and 6-4 at the grass-court tournament.
Auger-Aliassime is trying his best to reach the 3rd tour level tournament final of his career as he removed Brown from his path in a 2 and half hour long match. This was his first match as a professional player in which he had to play three tiebreakers.
As for Brown, he started the week in his bid to reach his first tour-level final since the 2017’s US Open. He earlier defeated the top-seeded player of the tournament and the world rank no. 5 Alexander Zverev.
In other matches of the semifinals, the Italian player Matteo Berrettini will play against Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff after Berrettini defeated his American opponent Denis Kudla by 6-3 and 6-3. As for Struff, he defeated Lucas Pouille by 6-4 and 6-4.
