Stuttgart’s Porsche Grand Prix; Petra Kvitova wins the title

Petra Kvitova managed to win the Stuttgart’s Porsche Grand Prix title on Sunday after she won over Estonian player Anett Kontaveit by 6-3, and 7-6.

Before this, tournaments had been held this season already with not a single player to have double titles until Petra Kvitova.

She is the first player of the season to have won the double trophies with her first being won in Sydney back in January.

The world rank no. 3 Czech player managed to break her opponent by 4-2 in the first set and was quick on her delivery to win the first set at the indoor clay courts of Stuttgart.

As for the 2nd set, the two times Wimbledon champion had to work much harder than the first set as he needed to save 2 set points at 5-4 with her being pinned at the base by Anett Kontaveit.

Estonian had a walkover to the finals after her semi’s opponent Naomi Osaka withdrew after suffering an abdominal injury prior to the match. Kontaveit could not hold longer against Kvitova and eventually, Kvitova won the set by 6-0.
