Croatia was able to manage its victory over USA in Davis Cup by 3-2 in match that took place in Zadar.
The victory of Croatia as sealed in by Borna Coric as he defeated France’s Tiafoe by 6-7, 6-1, 6-7, 6-1, and 6-3. 23 ears old Coric described all this to be most special moment in his life yet.
Now Croatia is set to fight against defending champions France in the upcoming Davis Cup final that is being held in November and hosted by France.
Steve Johnson’s substitution Sam Querrey at first brought hope for USA when he brought the sore to a 2-2 with his victory against Marin Cilic.
Cilic was beaten in four sets which further added to his frustrations when he was given a code violation by umpire Carlos Ramos for smashing his rackets to bits.
Ramos; the same umpire had been accused by Serena Williams for being sexist and a thief as he handed her a game penalty during the US Open Finals earlier this month.
