Vargas VS Dulorme; Battled concluded to a draw in Chicago

Jessie Vargas in his welterweight title fight against rival Thomas Dulorme had to settle for a draw after taking a knockdown hit in the final round.

Vargas; the former WBO champion floored Dulorme in the 10th round only to be floored himself in the 12 round. Vargas received one score of 115-111 but the other two judges tallied the score for a draw at 113-113 and 113-113 in the fight that took place in Chicago.

This has been the second draw for Vargas after his fight against Adrian Boner back in April 2018.

Dulorme made his speed evident in the opening radon as he broke Vargas’s defenses to land a right hand and then followed with a left hook by dipping at knees.

The second round was worrisome for Vargas as Dulorme threw quicker punches and at the end of the round, Vargas was left with a cut over his right eye.

Vargas gained a foothold in the third round with a left hook followed by a crisp right hand in the fourth to hold down Dulorme.

Vargas was pushed back to ropes in the fifth round with a flurry of punches but managed to put the Puerto Rican opponent wobbly with a right hook in the sixth round.

Vargas came out strong in the 10th round as he dropped his rival with a right hand. Dulorme also managed to regain the match with a right hook knockdown in the 12th rounds last few seconds.
