Warriors beat Rockets by 104-99 in Game 5 after Kevin Durant leaves the game with a calf injury

With the Western Conference rivals Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors engaged in another thrilling semi series battle, the Wednesday night Game 5 between two teams produced a devastating moment for the Warriors.

Kevin Durant, the star of the Warriors had his left leg injured drying the 3rd quarter of the game as he hobbled off the court to the locker room. According to team, Durant suffered from a calf strain and he won’t be able to return back soon.

With the status of Durant being uncertain after leaving the game, his teammates of Golden State played an inspiring game to beat the Rockets at Oracle Arena by 104-99 on Wednesday night.

With this win, Warriors have taken a 3-2 lead on the series.

Steve Kerr, Warriors coach said, “Our guys are giants.”

Warriors will now have a strong chance to close the 2nd round best of 7 series against the Houston Rockets on Friday night as the Game 6 will be played in Houston. This will be their shot to take another step in the direction of winning their 3rd NBA championship in a row.

After Durant left the game, Stephen Curry let go of his sloppy first half performance to finish the night with 25 points while the other Splash Brother; Klay Thompson added in his team-high of 27 points.

As for Durant, prior to him leaving the game with an injury, he had scored 22 points and 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

After Durant made a mid-range jump shot with 2 minutes to the 3rd quarter, he landed on the court, went up to the court and suddenly looked back on his left leg.

After that, Durant grabbed hold of his lower leg and hobbled off the court to the locker room. He did not returned to the game again.
