Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden ruled out making a move for Colin Kaepernick

The head of the coach of Washington Redskins; Jay Gruden ruled out any possibility of signing Colin Kaepernick despite the team having a hard time dealing with the injury crisis at quarterback.

Kaepernick who was released by San Francisco 49ers back in the 2017’s NFL season for his ‘take a knee’ protest during the playing of the national anthem for raising awareness to racial injustice has been unemployed ever since.

31 years old Kaepernick said to media that he hopes to make a return to the NFL despite being looked down by other teams.

Kaepernick was in link with Redskins after the season-ending injury of their quarterback; Colt McCoy who suffered a fractured right fibula during the Redskins’ game against Philadelphia Eagles.

Redskins prior to McCoy lost Alex Smith also with a season-ending injury and now they are going with Mark Sanchez for now.

Gruden said to media, “Kaepernick’s availability has been discussed for sure but it would be a matter of which way you want to go. He has been talked about a lot but we think we will be going the different direction for now”.
