Wiggins leads Wolves past Lakers for a win by 108-86

The Minnesota Timberwolves have steadily but surely started to find their way behind the players like Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.

The Sunday night game of basketball between Minnesota Timberwolves VS the Los Angeles Lakers ended with Lakers defeat by 108-86. Wiggins took the lead for Timberwolves with his 28 points, 25 of which were scored in first half. As for Karl-Anthony Towns, he scored 28 points with 18 rebounds for the team.

Jeff Teague of the Wolves’ scored 15 of his points in the first half and also finished with 11 assists for the night. With this win, the record of the Timberwolves this season is 14-6 at home and 8-2 against the Western Conference foes.

With 19-21, Timberwolves have now moved to an 11th place at the Western Conference and are only two games behind Lakers who are 21-19.

As for the Lakers who are still playing without LeBron James, they were led by Lance Stevenson who scored 14 points for the team.

Point guard Lonzo Ball of the Lakers said to media, “we were not physical enough. Timberwolves are a big strong team out there and I don’t think that we brought the fight tonight.”

Up next, LA Lakers will play against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night for their ninth back to back games this season. On the other hand, Timberwolves will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.
