Lou Williams of the LA Clippers has gained the fame for providing instant offense for the team off the bench. The guard for the LA Clippers performed his role at a historic level on Wednesday night in the game against Phoenix Suns.
Williams scored 30 points along with his 10 assists in his 22 minutes of play time as Clippers defeated the Suns by 134-107. According to the history of the NBA, he is the only player ever in NBA to have scored 30 points with 10 assists in fewer than 23 minutes. Clippers guard Patrick Beverley said of Williams’ night, “that is certainly impressive but he has been doing all this for a year now. It is fun t watch him do this. Sometimes you get up caught in watching him play.”
Wednesday night was also the record night for the Phoenix Suns but not a good one. They have now lost 15 consecutive games as they tied their franchise record of lost games of the last season.
