Wimbledon 2019; Novak Djokovic makes it to the 4th round while Kevin Anderson crashes

Novak Djokovic, the defending champion of the Wimbledon was able to win his third round match against his polish opponent Hubert Hurkacz in 4-set match to make it to the 4th rod n of the tournament for the 12th time.

Djokovic, the world rank no. 1 was able to defeat Hurkacz by 7-5, 6-7, 6-1 and 6-4 on Court One.

Djokovic is bidding to win his 16th Grand Slam title and met in the third round match against Hurkacz for the 2nd time in a row as he earlier defeated the 22 years old player back in French Open this year.

With this win, Djokovic will now play against the Ugo Humbert for his quest to win the 5th Wimbledon title on Monday, after Humbert defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime.

As for the finalist of 2018;’s Wimbledon Kevin Anderson, he was not able to progress like the last year after he got beaten by Guido Pella of Argentina in their 3rd round match.

4th seeded Anderson got defeated in 3 sets by 6-4, 6-3 and 7-6 and is the 5th top 10 seeded player to exit from this year’s Wimbledon.

Pella made it to the 4th round with him making only 13 unforced errors. This is the first time in his career that he has advanced that much into a Grand Slam tournament as well as knocking out a former runner up.

He will next face the runner up of 2016’s Wimbledon Milos Raonic who got a dominating win over America’s Riley Opelka. 15th seeded Raonic was able to defeat his opponent by 7-6, 6-2 and 6-1.

Another top-seeded player to exit the tournament was Karen Khachanov of Russia who got defeat at hands of Roberto Bautista Agut by 6-3, 70-6 and 6-1.

The 23rd seeded player will now face French player Benoit Paire who defeated Jiri Vesely by 5-7, 7-6, 6-3 and 7-6.

Last but not least was the third round victory David Goffin who defeated Daniil Medvedev by 4-6, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, and 7-5 in a match that was 3 hours and 30 minutes long.
