With less than a minute to the most exiting college basketball game of the year, with like of President Obama watching it, nation’s top exciting player Zion Williamson suffered a knee injury in a bizarre play. Zion Williamson is presumed to be the no. 1 pick the upcoming NBA draft this year.
Zion; the freshman of the Duke had his Nike sneaker blew apart on court after he planted his foot trying to go early in the Devil’s game against tier rival team North Carolina Tar Heels.
With this rather strange accident, the forward was sent tumbling t floor that resulted into a knee injury. Zion immediately held on to his legs as went up and down. Shortly after, he walked back to the locker room.
Duke later announced that Zion had suffered from a game-ending knee injury.
Post game, Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski said to media that their star freshman has suffered from a mild knee sprain but also said that his knee is stable.
In absence of Zion, Duke were blown out by their rival UNC by 88-72.
