Zverev beats Nicolas Jarry to lift the Geneva Open trophy

The world rank no. 5, Alexander Zverev was able to save 2 match points in his Geneva Open final against Nicolas Jarry to win the title by 6-3, 3-6 and 7-6 on Saturday.

The top-seeded player of the tournament, Zverev was able to win the match against Jarry after 2 hours and 30 minutes on the court of the total 6 hours of the time match started.

This was the 11th career title win for the German Zverev and his first title victory since him winning 2018;’s season-ending ATP Finals held in London.

Zverev won a prize sum of 90000 Euros for the Geneva Open title.

Zverev struggled against Jarry during the 2nd set after the match had two rain delays of each being an hour long before Jarry was able to tie the match and lead it for a decider.

The Chilean player has now lost both of his tour finals and now he will start his campaign at French open when he will play against the 8th seeded Juan Martin del Porto.
