It is unreasonable and completely impossible for Golden State Warriors to fix every mistake in one night.
However, them beating the Denver Nuggets on Friday night is certainly a positive step in that direction. The two-time defending champions once again showed their dominant swagger to the NBA fans.
Steve Kerr, the Warriors coach said, “Pride”.
Klay Thompson, who made a return to the game after missing two games earlier, led the Warriors with his 39 points which include his 9 3-pointers. Under his lead, Warriors bounced back from the worst loss in their franchise history as they defeated Denver Nuggets by 122-105 on Friday night. Both of the team are the two top teams in the Western Conference right now.
As for Kevin Durant of Warriors and Splash Brothers, he scored 26 points along with 6 assists while Stephen Curry scored 17 points. As for DeMarcus Cousins, he was absolutely splendid on both ends of the game as he scored 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, six blocked shots, and 3 steals.
As the Warriors were on a two-game losing streak, they did not let Nuggets gain a significant stretch on the night.
Kerr said, “Our guys have very well responded to the losses for the past five years. So it was not a surprise to me that our guys made a comeback with energy and passion tonight as they got an early start.”
As for Denver Nuggets, they were led by Malik Beasley who scored 17 points off the bench for Nuggets, who have now lost four of their five last games after following a five-game winning streak.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said, they are a better a team than us. If it was not for the efforts of our bench tonight, we could have been blown out completely. Our bench at least kept the game respectable for us.”
Up next, Denver Nuggets will host a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves while Warriors will be hosting a game against the Phoenix Spurs on Sunday night.
