Minnesota Wild scored 8 goals to beat Arizona Coyotes by 8-5

Minnesota Wild might not where they like to stand on the Western Conference right now but they can still say that they have swept the season-high against contender of the Western Conference.

The Minnesota Wild played their third and final game of the regular season against the Arizona Coyotes in a superb way as they won over their opponents by 8-5. Minnesota Wild scored 8 goals of their dring the final 2 periods.

As for the Coyotes, this is their 4th defeat in their last 5 games at home.

In this game, the goalie for the Coyotes Darcy Kuemper suffered a late third-period injury that had him ousted from the game. He had to be helped off of the ice after he went into the butterfly position in order to stop the shot made by Minnesota Wild’s Ryan Hartman.

Rick Tocchet, the coach for Coyotes said, “That was tough to watch. I am only thinking about the positive right now.  I have seen many things that look bad but the next day they don’t seem that bad. That is what I am really hoping for Kuemper.”

With this win, the Minnesota Wild has put an end to their 3-game losing skid as they scored their 8 goals on their last 33 shots of the game which also includes one empty netter in final seconds. Brad Hunt and Hartman both scored one goal each along with an assist each. 3 next goals were scored by Ryan Suter, Ryan Donato, and Luke Kenin respectively.  As for the last 2 goals, they were scored by Zach Praise while the Minnesota Wild goalie stopped 35 shots from the opposing team.

This is a surprising win for the Wild as they were trailing by 4-1 in the 2nd period but the made a rally in the 3rd period to be 4-3 and then went on to win the game.

Up next for Minnesota Wild is the game against the Winnipeg Jets while Coyotes will play the first game of the season against Detroit.
