Gobert leads Utah Jazz 109-92 victory over the Charlotte Hornets

Finally, the opponents of Utah Jazz are starting to find out as to how tough of an opponent this team really is as they proved it on Friday night in their 48-minute defensive game.

Utah jazz clamped up hard on the Hornets from start till the fish as they won over them by 109-92 to gain victory on Friday night.

Utah Jazz contested the shots, forced flurries on the early turnovers and managed to win their 2nd game in a row with a lead of double digits. With this win, Utah Jazz has now won 8 games in a row and is 13 for their last 14 games with wins.

Hornets endured a tough struggle from Utah jazz on the opening trip as they forced 7 turnovers during 1st quarter. Utah jazz then racked up 14 of their 19 points in those miscues.

Rudy Gobert of Utah jazz said, “We did not want to let them get the confidence that easily.  We did not want to do that for the entire game so we remained consistent throughout the entire game.  That is why we were able to create this much of a scoring gap for the win.”

Gobert placed his stamp on the game early as he finished the night with 15 points as well as 13 rebounds along with 6 blocks playing for 3 quarters.

2 times NBA Defensive Player of the Year was forced on both ends of the court for the first half of the game as he blocked 4 shots to match his total blocks made during the last 4 games. Gobert also intimated the Hornets by doing much work on the offensive as well.

Terry Rozier, the guard for Hornets said, “We do not care how big he really is, we still need to be physical with him.  We still need to make him feel us because he is making us feel him. You need to have your mindset ready whilst going into the game.”

Up next, Utah jazz will play a game against the Washington Wizards while Hornets will visit Phoenix for a game against the Suns.
