The ball that Kyrie Irving threw into stands in frustration was able to help a young Nuggets fan to meet and greet his favorite player of his favorite team.
Earlier this week, Jamal Murray allegedly irked Kyrie Irving after Jamal made a 3 pointer shot to make 50 points in the closing moments of Denver Nuggets vs. Boston Celtics match. Although Murray missed this shot and still made a career-high 48 points in a single game, Irving was not happy with his move as he thought the game was already settled.
After the 115-107 loss, Irving traded some harsh words with Murray and threw the ball into the stands in frustration.
Murray said to media, “I think somebody caught the ballad n gave it to the kid wearing my jersey, so I think it is a great moment. That’s a lucky kid. That is a ball that’s worth 48 points.”
After Murray heard that kid wants the ball signed, Murray said, “I will do that for sure and it will be fun to interact with a fan. If the kid plans to give p the ball, I will even trade in some shoes or something else”.
The boy who caught the ball, his name is Park. The boy came to meet with Murray at the Pepsi Centre before the Nuggets vs. Nets game.
Park returned the ball to Murray who in turn gave him lots of cool Nuggets gear and a pair of signed shoes.
Irving has been fined for 25000 dollars for throwing the ball into the stands.
