Los Angeles Rams had to cancel their Saturday’s practice which was held at Thousand Oaks, California due to the raging wildfires in the area.
Due to these wildfires, mass evacuations have been carried out of the inhabitants in the area along with mass property damage and road closures. This has severely affected people in the organization.
The team released a statement, “our hearts are with the neighbors of Los Angeles and Ventura counties who have suffered from these devastating fires”.
The team further stated, “We are carefully observing the circumstances and are making plans to help rebuild and heal our community. Together as a united community, we will all get through this devastating tragedy”.
The first wildfire activity was reported by Los Angeles County’s Fire Officials on Friday. Due o this fits fire a region of 8000 acres was torched to the ground with zero chances of containment. Due to this, the 101 Freeway was also closed down.
The fire started on Thursday afternoon and within 12 minutes it had already jumped the freeway.
Rams are 80-1 for the season and are now set to face off their next opponent Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The match is a rematch between two teams for their previous Week 5 game held in Seattle.
