Caris LeVert saw his 2018’s NBA season coming to a devastating halt on Monday night’s game of Brooklyn Nets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves.
During the second quarter of that game 24 years old guard of the Nets jumped in the air to block the shot of the Timberwolves guard Josh Okogie. However, he landed on his right foot rather awkwardly and his ankle just snapped. He just laid there on the ground while covering his face in intense pain. Medical staff rushed in to tend to him.
He was rolled off the court on a stretcher as his right leg was covered in towels. Players from both teams watched him in silence and a loud applause was heard throughout the Target Center.
Nets later announced that he has been taken to the Minneapolis hospital for further medical evaluation.
LeVert’s was in his third and the best yet NBA season. During the past 13 games, he averaged in 19 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.3 steal while applying his team-high 30.8 minutes.
