ATP Finals in London; Novak Djokovic defeats Alexander Zverev

Novak Djokovic who is the favorite for the ATP Finals this year made a stunning win against his opponent Alexander Zverev by a straight-set win on Wednesday.

The world no. 1 seems to be charging at the season ending tournament with a furry to end it with a win. He shoed his aggressive game against the third seed German player by winning the match by 6-4 and 6-1.

Djokovic made it to the world rank no. 1 after Rafael Nadal’s withdrawal from the season ending the tournament in London.

Zverev who managed to gain the victory against Marin Cilic in the opening match was maintaining a calm game style against the Serb as this opponent rallied in thunderous serves.

These two opponents last time met each other at the final of Rome Masters last year where Djokovic lost to Zverev. Djokovic already claimed that loss by defeating Zverev at the semi finals of Shanghai Masters.

The match was sealed in Djokovic’s favor rather early in less than 76 minutes.

Djokovic is going to advance in the knock out stages of the year end tournament after if John Isner defeats Marin Cilic or Main Cilic defeats Jon Isner.
