Victims of Larry Nassar expected to be paid $75 million to $150 million from USA Gymnastics

The financial statements released on last Thursday by US Gymnastics, “US Gymnastics expects to pay about 75 to 150 million dollars to the victims of Larry Nassar abuse case”.

Victims of the case and USAG have been in talks since the start of spring. Michigan State University in May agreed to pay about 500 million dollars in settlements to nearly 330 women that were directly involved in the Larry Nassar’s abuse case.

He case about Larry Nassar abuse has been filed against Michigan and California by 220 abused women and the defendant in the case is USAG. USAG also has to deal with two lawsuits in Texas.

USAG, In April also filed a lawsuit against its insurance carriers to seek for the full reimbursement of the defense costs related to all ten cases related to Larry Nassar.

On Monday, USAG has been stripped off from its position of being the national governing body of the sport by United States Olympic Committee.

In the wake of this abuse case, USAG has almost all of its sponsors. Back in 2017, USAG’s all assets of the foundation have only amounted at 108 million dollars.
