Melvin Gordon; Los Angeles running back is to kiss 2 to 4 weeks suffering from knee injury

Melvin Gordon who is the running back for the Los Angeles Chargers is going to miss about 2 to 4 weeks for the NFL season after suffering from a sprained knee. The injury happened on Sunday night game of Chargers vs. Cardinals.

The team announced that his injury status is week to week but he is expected to make a full return by the end of the regular season if everything goes well for him.

Chargers are in great position for a prime spot in the playoffs with their 8-3 stats for the season. They are only 1 game behind Kansas City Chiefs who are 9-2 for the season.

Gordon, medically speaking suffers from a grade 2 sprain on his medial collateral ligament of the right knee. He suffered from this injury after he was tackled by Cardinals defensive end Robert Nkemdiche and awkwardly fell on the ground.

So far in the season, Gordon has completed 802 rushing yards with 44 catches for 453 receiving yards. He has also scored in a total of 13 TDs this season.

In the absence of Gordon, Austin Ekeler is to start in Week 13 game against Pittsburgh Steelers.
