Griffin and Drummond lead Pistons over Warriors for a win by 111-102

Golden State Warrior even though had Stephen Curry back on the Saturday night game, it was still not enough for Warriors against Pistons’ Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond.

Detroit Pistons were able to win over the Golden State Warriors by 111-102 on Saturday night basketball game.

Griffin scored 26 points for the night whereas Andre Drummond added in his 16 points for the Pistons. Drummond also finished with eight offensive boards for the night.

Six players from Detroit finished for the night with scores in double figures which include reserve players like Stanley Johnson and Ish Smith.

Curry was leading the Warriors or the night who made an appearance on the court after missing 11 games due to a groin injury. He finished for the night with his 27 points.

Steve Kerr; the Warriors coach blamed himself for the defeat as he said to media, “this is one of the worst games I ever coached. We got into trouble early and I was searching for a lineup that could handle Blake and Andre but I was never able to give us an effective group. We were not even shooting 3 or getting to the glass”.

From Warriors side, Durant scored 28 points while Kay Thompsons added in his 21 points.

During the third quarter, Warriors’ center payer Damian Jones suffered from a left shoulder injury and left the game to not return again.

Golden State Warriors will now head to Atlanta for facing against Atlanta Hawks on Monday. As for Detroit Pistons, they are up next against Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
