Alex Lewis; Left Guard of the Baltimore Ravens has been released from hospital after his neck injury

Alex Lewis who is the starting left guard for the Baltimore Ravens is to undergo further testing after suffering from a grueling neck injury in the Sunday night game f raven vs. Titans, which the Baltimore Raven won.

Lewis had to be removed from the field on a stretcher during the early fourth quarter. He suffered the injury after he was making a run blocking.

Ravens have told media that currently Lewis is moving all his extremities and a CT scan had been done at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center located in Nashville.

He is now released from the hospital to make a return back home with his teammates. Further medical evaluation will be carried out in Baltimore.

Head coach John Harbaugh said to media that, “all our players are with Lewis and his family. I would only say this, so far so good. There is a lot of optimism for him. Neurologically speaking, he has all the movement and all other of those types of things.”

The injury was caused when Lewis blocked the linebacker of the Titans; Sharif Finch. At first, it seemed like Leis has hurt his arm or shoulder but he was immobilized on the stretcher which signaled that he was having a more severe injury. He still waved to his teammates as he left the field.

Lewis was the pickup of the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft by Baltimore Ravens. He is currently 26 years old and previously he missed the 2017’s season with a torn shoulder Labrum. He suffered this injury in the preseason game.
