Washington Redskins have appealed for privacy from the fans on behalf of their injured quarterback Alex Smith who ha recently underwent the surgery of his broken leg.
Alex Smith suffered from a broken Fibula and Fibula of the right leg when he was sacked by JJ. Watt and Kareem Jackson in the Redskins’ defeat against Houston Texans on 18th November.
34 years old since then has undergone many surgical procedures. Many of these procedures are to combat the infections which were caused by original surgery for repairing the fractures.
Redskins released a statement, “despite Alex being in terrible injury, he and his family are strong. We would like to appeal to everyone on behalf of Smith and his family’s request to honor their privacy for some time.”
Before this season-ending injury, Alex Smith had completed 205 of his 308 passes for 2180 yards along with 10 TDs and 5 interceptions. He also led the Redskins for 6-3 on the season.
Since Alex absence form team, Redskins have a lot all three past games along with losing another QB Colt McCoy who suffered a fractured Tibia in the Week 13 game against Philadelphia Eagles.
Redskins are currently one game behind Dallas Cowboys who are 7-5 in the NFC East.
