Asia Cup 2018; India Vs Bangladesh, India wins by 7 wickets

In the last over power play, Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh made two consecutive fours on Ravindra Jadeja. Bangladesh was making a recovery with Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahim’s partnership from 16/2; two of the best batsmen by Bangladesh. Jadeja who was making a comeback after a 15 months hiatus to white ball cricket was welcomed rudely.

At this time, MS Dhoni went up to Jadeja and asked him to let Shikar Dhawan to move in a little squarer. Jadeja next ball resulted in a catch by Dhawan at the square leg.

The next was India’s turn which they easily managed to gain dominance by chasing down 174 scores with seven wickets and 13.4 overs to spare. The first match of the Super Four Stage ended with clear dominance of India over Bangladesh. Jadeja along with Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar was able to fend off Bangladesh in making only 173 runs that allowed Indian batsmen to chase a lower target second time in a row.

Skipper Rohit Sharma remained not out at 83 runs whereas MS Dhoni made 33 runs over 37 balls.

After their last night defeat from Afghanistan team they were trying to make a comeback against India but they left disappointed in the 20th over from stadium.
