Australia VS Pakistan 2nd ODI; Aaron Finch manages career-best ODI score to let Australia win over Pakistan

In the 2nd ODI match of Australia VS Pakistan played at Sharjah, Aaron Finch showed splendid performance as he scored his career- best of 155 in ODI to lead Australia’s victory over Pakistan.  This was Finch’s 2nd straight hundred in the 5 match series and Australia’s 2nd win in a row.

The match was reminiscent of the previous match of the series which was played at the same venue of Sharjah on Friday last week. On that match, Australia managed to successfully chase the target of 281 runs and won the match by 8 wickets. As for the target they got on the Sunday’s match was 285 runs.

In the opening game from Pakistan’s side, Harris Sohail took the lead of team as he scored his first ever ODI century. Mohammed Rizwan followed his suit as he scored 115 runs. However, unfortunately for the Pakistani team, it was all in vain of an effort as Finch also managed to get his other classy century to give visitors a victory with 13 balls remaining.

From Australia’s batting side, Finch shared an amazing 209 runs partnership with Usman Khawaja who scored 88 runs. Khawaja got out by Yasir Shah in the 38yth over while Glenn Maxwell followed him shortly after at 19 runs. Still, Finch took the stand from team’s side as he scored 150 runs in the 48th over before giving his team the ultimate victory.

Finch also made a splendid impact with his bowling as he got 1 wicket off of 41 runs while Jhye Richardson got 2 wickets off of 16 runs. Richardson had to retire from the match following his dislocated shoulder injury in the 11th over.

Pakistan had a nice stand under the 127 run partnership of Rizwan and Shoaib Malik for the 5th wicket. Rizwan struck 11 boundaries as he made his first OID century. Still, the amazing batting performance from Finch saw Australia to be at 2-0 on the five-match ODI series.
