Nadal, the 2009 Australian Open champion is still to drop a set in this year’s tournament. Nadal managed to win the opening set against Tsitsipas in only 31 minutes while dropping three points on his serve.
Tsitsipas made a push back in the second set but Nadal managed to break his serve and from thereon it was the match in Nadal’s favor.
Tsitsipas’s spark was finally gone by the third set and 17 times Grand Slam champion Nadal coasted through this set as well without losing a single game.
Nadal is now going to play in his 25th Grand Slam final on Sunday. If he manages to win this final, he would have two titles at each Grand Slam which is a record not even held by Djokovic or Federer.
