Bogdanovic leads as Utah Jazz beat New Orleans Pelicans by 128-126 for their 6th consecutive win

Rudy Gobert, the center for the Utah jazz was not going to let the Brandon Ingram of Pelicans to blow by him for the final layup shot at the final horn without getting atop his 7 feet 1-inch tall frame and his long arms in the way.

Players from the bench of Pelicans got up to plead a foul suggesting whether or not the challenge from Gobert was a legal one or not. 

Gobert’s stopped Ingram to preserve the 128-126 victory of the Utah Jazz on Monday night over the New Orleans Pelicans. With this win, the winning streak of Utah jazz is now extended to 6 games.

Gobert said, “I went up with my arms and I stopped the ball with my forearm and then we simply feel down.”

Bojan Bogdanovic led the Utah Jazz with his 35 points while Joe Ingles scored 22 points of the Jazz as they won 11th of their 12th game.

Bogdanovic said, “We are playing some great basketball lately.”

As for Ingram, he said, “I think that I got hit but the referee could not see it. That is the reality of all of that.” Ingram scored 35 points for Pelicans in this game but they were not able to lift the resurging Pelicans to gain their 7th win from their last 9 games.

Replays do show Gobert making body contact with Ingram after he chased him down the lane’s right side. But replay also shows Ingram to have his left arm wrapped around torso off Gobert and the ball seemed to have grazed Gobert’s forearm too.”

Up next, Utah Jazz will host a game on Wednesday night against the New York Knicks while Pelicans will also host a game on Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls.
