Booker 50 points in back-to-back games but Suns lose again

Despite Devin Booker scoring 109 points in his last two games with Phoenix Suns, his efforts went to waste each time.

Booker became the NBA’s youngest player in history to have consecutive 50-point games. However, his scoring binge was once again squandered by Phoenix Suns as they lost to Washington Wizards by 124-121 on Wednesday night.

Booker said, “The fans in the Phoenix have been behind us ever since I have been here for 4 years. They deserved that. It is entertainment for them. They come to our games and for that, I try to put on a good show for them. I make sure that they enjoy and make them have lasting memories.”

22 years old Devin Booker scored 50 points along with 10 rebounds for the team who are currently with the worst record in the Western Conference. Suns are currently 17-59 on the regular season as they have now lost their 5th game in a row.  Booker, a night earlier also scored 59 points in Suns’ game against the Utah Jazz.

This was the first time that a player of Suns has scored 50 points in consecutive games. Before Booker, the only other player was Tom Chamber who also scored 40 points in consecutive games.

As for Wizards, they were led by Bradley Beal and Jabari Parker who both scored 28 points for the Wizards to lead their win. With this win, Wizards snapped their 5-game losing streak. Bryant scored 18 points along with his career-high of 19 rebounds.

Booker missed a 3-pointer shot that could have resulted in Suns’ win. The chances went further down when Bryant scored a 3-pointer to put Wizards with a lead with only 28 seconds to the clock.

Up next, Phoenix Suns will be playing against the Utah Jazz on Friday night while Phoenix Suns will be hosting a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
