Boston Red Sox managed to defeat their World Series opponents LA Dodgers in the Game 5 and with this, they have sealed in their 4th World Series Championship title in the past 15 years. The Game 5 ended for Red Sox with a 5-1 win at the Dodgers Stadium.
This is the second disappointment for the LA Dodgers who previously lost the World Series to Houston Astros last year in the Game 7.
The match winners for the night were Pitcher David Pearce and Batter Steve Pearce. Steve Pearce managed to hit tow home ruins for Red Sox, thus sealing their one-sided World Series victory.
The current Rookie Red Sox coach Alex Cora is the first from Puerto Rico. He is the fifth rookie manager who has led the team to win a World Series.
Red Sox also managed to gain the team record with 108 wins for the regular season and they continued to do so with dominance over the LA Dodgers in the World Series.
