The linebacker for Tennessee Titans, Brian Orakpo has announced his retirement from NFL after playing in ten seasons.
The decision was announced by Orakpo on Mandy with his teammates on hand. He had plans for months to make this final year of his contract his last in the league. The linebacker had plans to go out on his own terms.
Orakpo was the 13th pick overall out of Texas back in the 2009’s NFL draft by Washington Redskins. He was also a four times Pro Bowl Linebacker who started in all 132 games of his career in over six seasons with the redskins and four with Tennessee Titans.
32 years old Linebacker finished his career with 66 sacks; 26 of those were with Titans, 125 QB hits and 12 forced fumbles.
He missed on the last three games of the team after suffering from an injured triceps muscle.
The linebacker also said that if Titans (9-7) had made it into the playoffs, he would have played with them.
