The Saturday night boxing fight for the vacant British Light Heavyweight title between Joshua Buatsi and Liam Conroy ended with a win for Buatsi by a TKO victory. The fight was held at the copper BOX Arena.
With this win, Buatsi’s professional career record now extends to 10 straight wins as he dropped Conroy two times in the 3rd round of their fight to cause a stoppage.
The Londoner started the fight with a right hand but his Barrow-in-Furness opponent managed to evade some wild swinging shots in order to evade the danger.
Both fighters traded in some shots during the 2nd before Buatsi pounded his chest hard to continue his assault and end the round on top.
Conroy started off the 3rd round with a stiff jab but Buatsi who had found his range sent in a left hook to send the fighter to canvas 1st time.
26 years old Conroy stood back on his feet but Buatsi finished the job as he floored him the second time with a huge right punch.
Conroy tried to climb back on his feet but referee seeing enough, called off the fight in Buatsi’s favor.
