Cameron Wake of Miami Dolphins accuses NFL for protecting QB’s over other players

Cameron Wake; the defensive end player for the NFL tem Miami Dolphins has accused NFL of protecting QB’s over the safety of other players.

The accuses were made by Wake one day after NFL released the news that it does not plans to alter its officiation of the Roughing-the-passers penalties.

This announcement from NFL has recently caused controversy after the Head Coach of Dolphins Adam Gase confirmed the news that William Hayes is going to miss the rest of season due to his torn ACL injury. Hayes suffered the injury after avoiding the sack from Oakland Raiders’; Derek Carr under the aforementioned penalty.

Wake talking to Miami Herald said that, “all of us know that League is concerned about safety of players. But I think everybody should be safe instead of just certain players, it should be everyone. Now I am supposed to be sacrificing myself to protect the quarterback?”

There were talks earlier this week ether the rule should be revaluated or even should be altered. However Troy Vincent; Executive Vice President of Football released a statement on Thursday that nothing of sorts would be done.

Several debates have been sparked over this decision especially the call of Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Mathews.

Wake in his interview further said, “excuse my language but don’t Sh*t on me and say that it’s just raining. Just say to me that we are going to protect the quarterbacks differently. We are not going to protect the running backs, receivers and defensive players. Just be blunt about all of this. Don’t say ‘we care about your safety’ because you certainly don’t care about my safety. You 0only care about some people’s safety.”

He ended the talk with Herald’s reporter saying that, “My knees mean just as much to me and my family and my ability to play as our quarterbacks’ does. I can’t understand that his knees are more important than mine”.
