Cleveland Browns 19 games winless streak end as they won against New York Jets by 17-21

Cleveland Browns were finally able to dispel the 19 games winless streak after 635 days in a match against New York Jets held on Thursday by 21-17.

Baker Mayfield who is the No. 1 overall pick or the 2018 NFL draft came in as replacement for the injured Browns quarter back Tyrod Taylor. Baker struggled in her first half but made a stunning comeback during the second half.

Baker who was filling in for Taylor after he suffered from concussion; was able to make 17 of 23 for 201 yards along with making four scoring drives. Browns’ running back Carlos Hyde was able to get two goal line touchdowns for team as well.

The Home side; Jets trailed off with 14-0 into the second quarter after two touchdowns from the former Browns;’ and new Jets runner; Isaiah Crowell. New York’s new rookie quarterback Sam Darnold also tried to struggle by throwing two fourth quarter interceptions with just seconds left for the Cleveland’s victory.

Browns’ new kicker Greg Joseph secured two field goals of 45 and 27 yards for the team and was also able to secure an extra point try when Jarvis Landrey threw ball at him. This resulted in the game being tied by two point conversion in the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter Browns’ Myers was able to make a 28 yards field goal and a one yard touchdown by Hyde which ultimately ended the long winless spell for Cleveland Browns.
