The previous pictures of the Molly Thompson Smith’s hand after surgery of her three ruptured fingers back in January was gut wrenching and eye watering ones.
This was indeed not a great scenario for the climber who has deep fear of needles and could not tie her own hairs was left with no climbing for a very long time.
However she has recently made it known that she is back and healthy and is going to compete in the World Championship that are being held at Innsbruck.
She told media that, I someone told me back in December that I was going to be left from being Britain’s first ever female lead climbing World Cup Podium to someone who has three rupture of three pulleys and four months of no climbing with lots of tears to again competing in my second Word Championships with the best feeling that I ever had; I would have called you MAD.”
She further told media that it has been a whirlwind of a year for her as she suffered from a full rupture of three pulleys of the finger bones. After hearing he first snap she was certain that not only her trip to Spain in five days was cancelled but was for the most of 2018 season.
She said that she had her surgery done in January and was certain that she would compete in the 20918 lead season held in July. According to her people around her have been supportive of her as they helped with not only doing all the heavy work for her but also hanged out with her.
The climber was so enthusiastic about her climb that she even started climbing back on the wall after 20 days of her surgery; of course from her left hand. She did all that to keep the feeling of climbing to be natural.
She told media that, “World Championships are this week and whatever happens in the future I am pretty excited and I am going to try in to rope as well as try my hardest”.
