Conor McGregor loses to Khabib Nurmagomdov; after fight melee broke pout

Conor McGregor lost on his UFC return fight by Khabib Nurmagomdov. However, the victory of Khabib was overshadowed by a huge melee after the fight.

McGregor who was making his UFC return back after his two years of hiatus submitted in his first fight by tapping out. The former two-weight

champion tapped out to his rival Khabib after suffering from a rear naked choke in the middle o the fourth round in a  fight that took place last night in Las Vegas.

Nurmagomdov although won the match but then he suddenly threw off his gum mouth and mounted the cage in an effort to attack someone form McGregor’s side.

McGregor who was still sitting on the ground panting and feeble after his defeat was also attacked by someone from Nurmagomdov’s side as a result of bad blood that has been building ahead of this fight.

Dana White; UFC boss later confirmed that as a result of this melee, here of the members from Nurmagomdov’s side have been arrested.

Khabib; the UFC Lightweight Champion had McGregor pinned down in less than a minute after the fight started and also kept the Irish fighter on his back of most of the fight.

McGregor managed to regain some foothold in the third round but was still unable to hurt Khabib and finally McGregor tapped out in the fourth round.

After the melee, McGregor was escorted out amidst security personnel and as for Khabib, he left the arena with crowd jeering at him and throwing drinks.

White did not award Khabib with the title belt as he feared it would further ignite the crowd’s fury. White told Nurmagomdov that, “If I put this belt on you right now, then the crowd is going to throw Sh*t into the octagon”.

After both fighters departed from the venue, ring announcer declared Nurmagomdov as the winner.
