Khabib Nurmagomedov will get to keep his IUFC Lightweight title

Khabib Nurmagomedov gets to keep his UFC Lightweight title even after his post-fight brawl after defeating two times champion; Conor McGregor. The news has been announced by the UFC President; Dana White.

Unbeaten Russian; Khabib was able to retain his title in his fight against McGregor during the fourth round when McGregor tapped out from a submission. With this As Vegas in, Khabib’s career is now illustrated with 27-0 in his professional career and 11-0 in UFC fights.

Nurmagomedov launched himself over to McGregor’s team by mounting the fence after the fight. Hs target apparently was McGregor’s training partner; Dillon Danis. Security separated them as they were also trying to subdue the chaos caused by the crowd. Nurmagomedov was escorted out by crowd under the jeers and throwing drinks from McGregor fans.

White told TMZ that, they did not give the title belt to Nurmagomedov due to crowd’s fury but he actually gets to keep his title. As for the punishment for melee, it will be given by the Nevada Athletic Commission and not the UFC”.

White said, “He absolutely gets to keep his title. And she is certainly going to get a suspension from NAC but it will be only a four to six months submission.”

White also said that AC withheld the prize money of Nurmagomedov pending the investigation and they can also impose fine on him.

White said that “NAC has taken all of his prize money for right now and they are talking of keeping all this for permanent too. In my opinion, this should not happen. They should not keep his whole purse”.

In White’s opinion, NAC should only fine Nurmagomedov for about 250,000 dollars.
