Cricket Disciplinary Commission sets the Ben Stokes and Alex Hales in December

Cricket Disciplinary Commission has charged Ben Stokes and Alex Hales with charges to bringing disrepute to game. The commission is going to set a hearing for them in December.

The timing suggests that the hearing is going to take place after England’s tour to Sri Lanka that is going to happen in October-November.

The hearing has been set after the 2017 incident when Hales was interviewed by police in September at the Mbargo nightclub and Stokes was charged there for causing affray.

The case was trialed at the Bristol Crown Court in last month. Stokes was cleared from all charges.

Although they have been called by the City’s court, they might still be punished by CDC, an organization funded by EDC that acts in independent manner.

The punishments that CDC can implement on the players range from a simple warning to terminating the contracts.

CDC has released a statement that says that both Stokes and Hale have been charged with breach of two EDC Directives 3.3 that states, “No player must participate may conduct themselves in any manner or act at any time that may be prejudicial to the interests of cricket or which may bring ECB, the game of cricket or group of cricketers to disrepute”.

The hearing date has been set in between December 5th and 7th and will be held in London.

During their Bristol Police investigation; both Stokes and Hales were suspended by ECB. This resulted in both of them to miss the Ashes and on day tour of Australia last winter season.
