Dallas Cowboys ended their 3-game losing streak with a 44-21 dominant victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
Cowboys, who won the first win of the season against a team with a winning record, now stand 7-7 on the season and are also tied for the first place for the title of NFC East with Philadelphia Eagles who will now face the Dallas Cowboys next on a road game. If the Dallas Cowboys win this game against the Eagles, they will clinch the first spot in the division as well as the spot in the playoffs.
Dak Prescott, the QB for Dallas Cowboys threw a total of 212 passing yards with 2 TDs while Ezekiel Elliot ran for 117 yards with 2 scores to make things matter the most when the team needed it. Tony Pollard also pitched in his 131 yards on the ground and then a late 44-yard score as Cowboys had their season-high of 263 rushing yards.
This game also featured a great performance from the inconsistent defense of Dallas Cowboys as they held the Rams to only 3 rushing yards for the 1st half and total of 22 yards at the end of the game.
Jared Goff, QB for Rams threw for 284 passing yards along with 2 TDs but also had an interception in the 1st half.
Dallas Cowboys not only ended their 3-game losing skid but also ended the LA Rams’ 2-game winning streak. Rams are now 8-6 on the season and are only 2 games behind Minnesota Vikings for the 2nd and final spot of Wild Card in the NFC East.
Up next, both these teams will have road games next week. For Cowboys, there will be a game against the Philadelphia Eagles before having a home game against Washington Redskins to close their regular season. As for Rams, they will first play against San Francisco 49ers and then end the regular season with a home game against the Arizona Cardinals.
