Diego Maradona has made his return to club management. The great Argentinean coach; Diego Maradona has been appointed coach for the second division Mexican club; Dorados.
The news was released after the team posted a short video message on their social media channels. The messages in the video were “Welcome Diego’ and “Make it a 10”.
Dorados the club located in northwest of Mexico did not revealed in any further news about this, a Mexican newspaper wrote that Maradona is hired by team to replace Francisco Gamez.
Gamez was fired by Dorados on Thursdays afternoon after the poor start of the season. Dorados took three points instead of possible 15 and they are just now sitting at 13th position out of 15 in total league teams.
57 yeas old Maradona is considered as one of the greatest footballers of Argentina with a career that was peaked back in 1986. During that time he captained Argentina and led them to their second and last World Cup final.
Maradona had short coaching stints while being with clubs in Argentina and UAE. His illustrated coaching spell was with Argentina; during which he led Argentina to 2010 World Cup held in South Africa.
Dorados is planning to present Maradona this weekend. His debut as their coach will be on 15th September when Dorados is to face against Cafetaleros de Tapachula.
