Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie; Oakland Raiders cornerback announces retirement mid season

Oakland Raiders cornerback player Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie announced his id season retirement from NFL on Tuesday morning. He is retiring halfway from his 11th NFL campaign.

32 years old defensive player was drafted by Arizona Cardinals as the 16th overall pick of the 2009 NFL draft. He played with Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos in the Super Bowls.

Rodgers-Cromartie announced is news to his fans on Instagram saying, “today I retire my NFL journey ends today. I am really thankful for God for keeping me in the game all these years. A Kid who had no college offers and had a kid of his own got to play and last 11 years in NFL. I played in Super Bowls, Pro Bowls and many more in this league. I am at peace with my decision of retirement. You may all not get my decision but that’s Kool”.

Rodgers-Cromartie also played for NFL franchises like Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. He earned the 2009 Pro Bowl Honors with Arizona Cardinals and another one with New York Giants in 20-15.

In his career, Rodgers-Cromartie has made 447 tackles, 30 interceptions, seven forced fumbles, and 147 pass deflects.
