Luka Doncic, playing for the Dallas Mavericks against the Phoenix Suns for the Thanksgiving night game was in complete control as he made the shots the way he wanted to and dealt some real damage to the Suns.
His impressive play was able to hand the Dallas mavericks their 120-113 victory over the Suns this Friday night.
Doncic scored 42 points to tie with his career-high while Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 26 points as the Mavs made a comeback from their loss to LA Clipper 3 days ago.
Rick Carlisle, coach of the Dallas Maverick said, “Great players have a short memory for the tough games. They only know to move forward and they are always thinking ahead for the next big challenge. Luka was fantastic from start to the finish of the game tonight.”
The 2nd year guard of the Dallas Mavericks missed his tripe double chance as he only could make 9 rebounds and 11 assists. Kristaps Porzingis, however, could only add 2 points to Mavs’ win.
Talking about the Mavs’ loss to the Clippers, Doncic said, “It was just one game, so, we lost one game. We should not be worried about 1 loss. You ply the next game and pretend as if nothing happened. I am really amicus to go out there and play every night. I get excited for every game that is who I am.”
As for Phoenix, things are not going to well this season, as they lost their 6th game from the last 7 games. Suns were led Kelly Oubre Jr. who scored 22 points along with 10 rebounds while Ricky Rubio pitched in with his 21 points and 9 assists.
Rubio said of the defeat, “We could not play our best in the 4th quarter. We got focused on the wrong things and those were the things that we had no control over.”
Up next, Dallas Mavericks will play a game against the Los Angeles Lakers in LA on Saturday. As for the Suns, they will also have a road game on Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets.
