Emmanuel Sanders; Denver Broncos receiver ruled out for rest of season after tearing Achilles in training

Denver Broncos, who were aspiring for the playoffs, suffered a blow when their receiver Emmanuel Sanders tore his left Achilles during the team practice match on Wednesday and now he is ruled out for the rest of the NFL season.

Sanders had to be stretchered out of the field and seemed to be in a lot of pain. MRI confirmed the team’s fears of a tear and Sanders has now been placed on the injured reserve.

The team has now claimed receiver named Andre Holmes off waivers after he was released by Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

31 years old Sanders was playing for his 4th career season and had one year and 10.5 million dollars remaining on his contract.

Vance Joseph; the head coach of Broncos said to media, “It did not look good. Sanders has been feeling pain in his heel area since last week but was feeling better before practice on Wednesday. A lot of teams have injuries right now. Again, it’s late in the year and it’s the fourth quarter of the season so injuries happen.”

Denver Broncos are 6-6 on the season and on their three-game winning streak.
