James Conner; Pittsburgh Steelers’ running back ruled out for Oakland Raiders match

Pittsburgh Steelers running back player James Conner has been sidelined from playing in the team’s match against Oakland Raiders after he suffered from an ankle injury.

Mike Tomlin; the head coach of the Steelers announced the news on Tuesday that Connor will be sidelined from playing until the week 14’ matchup.

During the Sunday night defeat of Steelers against Chargers, Connor suffered from a leg injury during the fourth quarter. He totaled in 74 yards and two rushing TDs for the night.

Tomlin said to media, “Connor’s injury is a little more serious than what we expected. I am not aware if you would describe it as an ankle sprain”.

James Connor had a high flyer season this year as he was given the place of starter after Le’Veon Bell was a no-show for the team this season.

23 years old Connor in his 12 games has 909 rushing yards for 21 carries and has 467 receiving yards for 52 catches and 13 TDs.

Connor will most likely be replaced by the rookie player Jaylen Samuels.

Steelers with Sunday night defeat are now 7-4-1 on the season whereas their next opponents Oakland Raiders are 2-10 on the season.
